Goodstart Early Learning Griffith, Coolah Street is the closest Long Day Care Centre to the CBD and is close to schools, shops and community amenities.

We cater for 44 children a day, in rooms from Nursery to Preschool, from birth to school age.

Learning through play is the heart of our programs. Through play we are able to engage curriculum in meaningful and authentic ways that connect with ideas and curiosities of children. We pride ourselves on providing experiences which afford children the opportunity to develop skills in exploration, social interactions and problem-solving among others, in the overall attempt to set children up for success.

Our learning environments offer potential and possibility. They are relevant, stimulating, and homelike; offering rich, authentic experiences, opportunities and challenges that are responsive to children’s interests as we aspire to develop a lifelong love of learning. Inside you will find areas for construction, art and creativity, quiet areas for reading and opportunities to engage with literacy and numeracy. Outside you will find natural elements including a sandpit, mud kitchen, creek bed, relaxation platform, vegie patch and lots of shade.

We care about what happens in our local community and aim to be actively engaged through regular excursions and incursions; and connecting with local people, programs and issues. In the early years it is essential to have an inclusive program that represents our community.

Cultural diversity is something we embrace, and we support family and community input to ensure that our children feel welcomed, respected and included at all times. We aim to have Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island perspectives embedded into our everyday program and practices. We have a published Reconciliation Action Plan which guides our work and connections with the local Wiradjuri community and culture.

We believe in establishing strong, trusting relationships with children and their families. We use key educator relationships to support trusting interactions that are purposeful and intentional; consistent; and attuned and responsive to children and family’s individuality.

Our storypark platform enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to children’s individual needs, interests and strengths.

Our teachers and educators are passionate professionals who are committed to providing quality and engaging experiences that allow children to develop and grow. With long-standing Teachers and Educators, we use our knowledge and experience to mentor those who are new to the profession to ensure that children are having the best experience on their learning journey with us.

We have a commitment to health and safety.  Our service provides opportunities for sleep and rest in quiet and relaxing rooms. Our qualified centre cook ensures children are offered a healthy nutritious menu each day including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. We believe that learning about healthy lifestyles, including nutrition and physical fitness, is integral to developing a child’s wellbeing and self-confidence.
