Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Vermont - Canterbury Road North is 120 place child care centre located in a safe and sound residential area with the convenience of being close to schools, shops and community facilities.

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
 
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. We have two main areas, with sandpits, cubby houses, vege patches, tan bark areas, obstacle course, dirt pit, and lots of shade.

We have a qualified cook who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. 

We also have a multipurpose room in the centre of our building which is used for family grouping in the morning and evening. This area is a great asset for those winter days when outdoors needs to come indoors. We often set up activities which enable the children to "burn off" some of their excess energy.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

Parent evenings are offered each quarter. This gives families an opportunity to socialise with other families and to have input into the child care centre.
