Goodstart Early Learning Bentleigh East is in a picturesque neighborhood, close to local schools, shops, main roads and community facilities. We are also close to public transport links, making the daily drop-off and pick-up less stressful.

We are focused on collaborating with families to create a supportive environment for each child in our care and each day we spend time talking with families and updating them on their child’s day. We have a strong connection with our local community with regular visits from the local Dentist and Maternal Child Health Nurse. We hold monthly information sessions, where specialists such as Occupational Therapists and Psychologists attend. Every fortnight the children go on excursions, walking to the local reserve, butcher, bakery and post office.

Inside the Centre, our four rooms, ranging from Nursery through to Kindergarten, are all set up in line with the Early Years Learning Framework, with many sensory and play based learning opportunities. Children are encouraged to develop skills in a wide range of areas, including language and literacy, science, numeracy as well as a range of creative endeavors such as music, art, social skills, communication and problem solving.
 
Outside, we have three separate play environments, each with age appropriate structures and equipment. Our amazingly spacious yards have just been renovated and now feature wooden decks, digging patches, sandpits, worm farms, water features, climbing areas and lots of shade. Our yards enable us to truly nurture an understanding of the environment and sustainability through our vegetable/herb gardens and recyclable water. 
 
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and fortnightly newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our Centre.

Families tell us they love our special events including afternoon teas for Mother's and Father's Day, a graduation ceremony for children leaving to go to school, a Christmas party and a concert - just to name a few! We also have many families and educators from different cultural backgrounds and celebrate many events on our multicultural calendar.

Our educators, most who’ve been with us long-term, work very hard to create fun and engaging learning experiences that capture the children’s imaginations. These experiences are flexible enough for each child to learn and grow in their unique way. All our educators are highly qualified, holding a Diploma in Children’s Services or higher, with three of our staff being Bachelor trained.
 
Our Centre features a homely kitchen and a professional chef who is with us every day. All food is bought to the Centre and prepared for each day, making our meals extremely fresh and nutritious.
