About our centre
Goodstart Early Learning Centre - Karl Court Bundoora is a warm and welcoming early learning centre educating up to 75 children per day. Located between two universities and easily accessible by public transport.
Karl Court educators promote an educational program based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development framework and the Early Years Leaning Framework. Here at Karl Court we are fortunate to have a diverse, skilled team of qualified friendly educators that embrace the diverse and multicultural backgrounds of the local community.
Inside our service our environments from Nursery to Kindergarten/ Preschool are all set up with educational experiences providing boundless opportunities for play based leaning, with an emphasis on early language, numeracy, social and emotional wellbeing.
We provide a government funded Kinder program for 4 year old’s, run by a full time qualified Kinder teacher. The program is delivered through a fun stimulating learning program that prepares children for the school year ahead.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths.
Community is important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities through the year we are able to enrich children’s learning experience.
Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allows children to freely express their creativity.
We believe that food is important to fuel activate bodies and growing minds, our qualified cook prepares all service meals on site with fresh nutritional ingredients.

Hi, I’m Melissa Beaumont and I am one of the Centre Director here at Goodstart Bundoora Karl crt.
I have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Bundoora Karl crt since 2019 and have been with Goodstart Early Learning for 12 years since starting my career in Early Childhood Education.
I have been a centre Director since 2020, previously I have worked in both Assistant Director and Educational Leader roles.
My Early Learning values:
Strong relationships support children to thrive in Early Learning. Relationships with their Key Educators supports children to feel confident to explore their environment and take on new challenges. Good communication between families and Educators to ensure needs are being met everyday and professional relationships between Educators provides a safe and positive centre culture where children can access high quality learning experiences.

Hi, I’m Kate Malcomson and I am one of the Centre Director here at Goodstart Bundoora Karl crt.
I have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Bundoora Karl crt since 2022 and have been with Goodstart Early Learning for 15 years.
I have been in the Early Childhood industry for over 24 years and as a Director for 15 years.
My Early Learning values:
I strongly believe that all children have the right to feel safe, heard and valued and to have access to high quality early learning.
What I love about our community:
We are Inclusive, warm and welcoming and the connection we have with our families is what makes our service great
