About our centre

Goodstart Carrum Downs Arcadia Street is a small, homely 56 place day care centre located in a quiet residential area in Carrum Downs. We are located very close to the surrounding suburbs such as Skye and Frankston North.

We have a beautiful, enthusiastic team of early childhood educators who not only love working with children everyday but also love being able to be a small part of the families that attend here. We work extremely hard to make sure each child's program is individually paced, educational, developmentally appropriate and of course, fun!

Goodstart Early Learning Carrum Downs Arcadia Street strives to be a family and community orientated centre where we are able to offer extra curriculum activities such as incursions for all age groups, Weekly walks to the park, Special Person's Days, celebrating early childhood events throughout the year and much more!

Rachael Trapnell

Centre Director

Hi, I’m Rachael Trapnell and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart East Carrum Downs Arcadia Street.

I have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Carrum Downs Arcadia Street. since early 2022. I have been working in the industry for over 17 years working my way up from the baby’s room.

I hold an advanced diploma in Children’s services and take great joy and satisfaction in overseeing the fantastic team here at Carrum Downs Arcadia Street.

I strongly believe that at all children have to right to quality early childhood education and making this accessible for all families is important to me. I live in Frankston with my partner and love being close to the beach I have two cats and love to spend my time reading, I also love sowing and a bit of dress making but I never have enough time at the moment.

The team here at Arcadia Street are passionate about children and making learning fun and inviting for all. I am very happy to be joining am exceeding team of educators here.
