About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Emerald is centrally located, with schools and the Central Business District within walking distance.

We have a creative and positive team of educators who believe children learn best using play-based activity within a combination of structured and informal settings. Our educators welcome all parental input and believe this creates a collaborative and inclusive learning experience for all.

We believe in forming partnerships with you and your family and creating a fun loving and caring environment for your child to develop their life long skills. Our educators ensure all children's needs are met. Both indoors and outdoors, educators provide engaging play-spaces where children learn through play.

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our four play areas have sandpits, vege patches, a newly renovated garden area, mud kitchen a fort and lots of shade.

A major focus for our centre is working with the broader community to enrich the children’s learning experiences. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.

Our families love to get involved in family events at our centre, whether it be for celebrating mother’s day, father’s day, graduation or our centre Christmas party, all families are encouraged to come along.

We warmly welcome new families, so please stop by! We would love to explore how we can support you and your child on their pathway to lifelong learning.
