About our centre
Goodstart Early Learning Vermont - Cantebury Road South is a small and homely centre, catering for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
Our homely environment is due to the fantastic combination of; our room designs, yard access, resources, the Goodstart team and of course our wonderful children and their families.
We provide a program which utilises the current Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. Our highly educated, diploma qualified staff are happy to discuss this with you. We tailor each program to your child’s individual needs, interests and strengths.
All of our rooms from nursery to kindergarten are colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory and play-based learning.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, including mud pits, bike paths, decks, a dry river bed and lots of shade. This area is designed to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.
Our cook prepares healthy and nutritious meals and snacks and caters for children who have allergies to certain foods.
We use the StoryPark app, as well as regular family nights and newsletters to stay in contact with parents and families.

Hello, My name is Vicki Williams and I am the Centre Director here at Goodstart Canterbury Road South. I am a Diploma Qualified Educator and have been at Canterbury Road South for over 3 years.
I have been in the early Childhood Profession for over 20 years. I have worked at a range of services both private and not for profit in Australia and in the UK.
My Early Learning Values:
I understand the value and complexities of being a working parent and the level of trust and connection required to provide the confidence and reassurance that your child is receiving the care and education that they deserve whilst respecting the diversity of each of our families and our local community values.
I believe that each child and their family is unique and I welcome the diversity of all family models, cultural beliefs and our community whilst respecting First Nations perspectives as a rich tapestry of learning opportunities and for a strong foundation in learning respect and appreciation of what makes Australia such an amazing place to live, learn and grow.
A little more about me:
When I’m not here at the centre I like to keep myself busy with craft activities such as knitting and cross stitch, walking with my dog Niamh and attending various folk music festivals and events.
