About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Browns Plains - Wembley Road is located in a residential area which is quiet enough to be safe and sound, but central enough to be close to schools.

We strive to provide an environment where our families feel that they are in a home away from home. Our nurturing educators are more than just carers, they are qualified professionals who strive to grow and learn about the child care industry that they have chosen to grow their career in.

The classrooms at Goodstart Browns Plains Wembley Road are very open, designed in line with the Early Years’ Learning Framework. Our colourful, engaging programs account for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

Our playgrounds are open, breezy and well shaded which helps us to role model sun safety awareness even at such a young age. We have two areas with stage areas, a tan bark floor, water pump, rock bed, herb garden, vege patch, mud pit and lots of shade.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

Our friendly educators aim to build lasting relationships and all enjoy celebrating special events with the children such as birthdays, our Preschool Graduation and Christmas celebrations - not to mention that variety of extra activities and special appearances we have throughout the year.

Hi, my name is Melanie Ricketts and I have worked at Goodstart Browns Plains - Wembley Road since February 2011. I hold my Diploma in Children’s Services along with many other First Aid and training seminar certificates.

Throughout my journey at Goodstart I have had many opportunities to work with exceptionally amazing educators and mentors that I am always gaining new knowledge to pass onto my team.

I became a mum myself in 2016 and only previously could I have imagined the amount of joy a child can bring into your life 24/7. This is why here at Goodstart Browns Plains - Wembley Road we make an extra effort to celebrate all of your child’s milestones as well as your family's.

Work/life balance is important to our Goodstart family here so if there is anything we can do to make your life easier, all you need to do is ask and we will do our best to help out.

We also offer an open door policy so please feel free to pop down at any time for as long or as many opportunities as you can to meet our amazing team.
