About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Kingsley is located on Kingsley Drive and is a small child care centre, which has been part of the community for 25 years. We are located 20km outside of Perth and easily accessible via the freeway and public transport.

Our centre plays a critical role in the community by providing parents with high quality care for their children while they are at work. Parents know how important their child rearing practices are and that we respect these. We actively seek information from parents as a part of their day-to-day communication with us.

Through the years we have provided care to approximately 480 families spanning over generations, with some of our past children now having their own children in our care. We are a very multicultural centre with families from Europe, South Africa, the UK, China, Korea, South America, North America, Israel and New Zealand currently enrolled at our centre.

Goodstart Kingsley is our "home away from home". Family is very important to us and we encourage sibling interactions as well as family input wherever possible.

Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.

We use Storypark to share your child's learning. This industry leading program lets you see the learning experiences of your child and allows you to interact with educators to enable real connections between what your child learns at Goodstart Kingsley and what happens at home. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

We have an inclusive and enabling environment so that the children in our care can enjoy a variety of resources and opportunities which promote learning, wellbeing and cohesion. Educators are encouraged to be facilitators who set up learning environments that support children in their independent process of discovery.

Our child care centre has a good size playground and boasts a veggie patch that our children help tend to. Children love our centre because they come and play with their friends and educators and learn and develop in a fun filled environment. Families love our centre because their children learn new skills, improve their speech, learn social skills, master new skills, and love the genuine interest staff have on all the children.

Centre Director

Kaya, I’m Alex the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Kingsley.

I migrated to Australia in 2013, where I started my journey within the Children’s sector at Goodstart Early Learning and since then my passion for this industry just keeps growing.

For the past 10 years, I gained experience in all age groups, worked alongside the best leaders and educational mentors - challenging me to be the best version of myself as a leader and as an educator for our future generations.

I have been in leadership roles for the last 8 years, where I spent my career learning and developing my passion for teaching little and big people to a holistic approach to education alongside our primary partners, families.

My goal as a Centre Director, is to inspire opportunities for each child to be their unique-self, have a strong sense of identity, belonging, trust and security in a nurturing and inspiring learning environment that equips them for life. I endeavour to support and advocate for children, families and educators at Goodstart Kingsley.
