School meet and greet for all families

Goodstart centres

Families in the Aspley area whose children will attend school in 2018 and beyond are invited to a school information night to be hosted by Goodstart Aspley at their centre on May 16.

Four local primary schools – Aspley State School, Geebung State School, Aspley East State School and Craigslea State School – will attend the night to answer questions parents have about the schools.

Goodstart Aspley centre director Michelle Buchanan said it was a great opportunity for parents to meet representatives from all the local schools in one space.

“We know how stressful the transition experience from child care to school can be for children and their families, so we are always looking for ways to make this journey smoother and easier for everyone involved,” Ms Buchanan said.

“This school info night is ideal for any parent who is undecided about which school they would like to enrol their child in for next year – it is a real community effort designed to support all of our local families.

“The early years are such an incredibly important part of a child’s life in terms of their development and equipping them with the skills they need to succeed in school. Goodstart is incredibly passionate about our role in helping to give all children the best possible start in life and setting them up for success in school and life beyond,” she said.

The information night will be held at Goodstart Aspley on May 16 from 6-7pm, is free to attend and open to all families in the community (and not just families currently enrolled with Goodstart). The centre is at 792 Zillmere Rd, Aspley.

Interested families can contact the centre directly to register their interest by phoning centre director Michelle Buchanan on 07 3263 6808.
