Families get into the Halloween spirit

Goodstart centres

Each year, Goodstart Lane Cove hosts a Halloween disco for its families, and the event has become the most anticipated on the calendar. This year is no exception with children and families already excitedly planning their Halloween costumes for the disco next Friday, 27 October.

With a professional DJ getting everyone in the groove, themed decorations that include digital visual displays and artworks made by the children, catered food and quality prizes for the best costumes, children and their parents are guaranteed a spookily good time.

Centre director, Nathan Quinlan, said families enjoy the annual event as it is a way for them to celebrate their child’s life, and the experiences they have while in preschool.

“Our team of educators put so much effort into making the disco an inclusive and fun event for everyone, which is why families have really embraced it over the years. The centre is completely transformed for the event into a magical festive atmosphere,” Mr Quinlan said.

As centre director, Nathan has worked within the Lane Cove community for 12 years.

“Lane Cove is a unique community. There is a real sense of belonging generated by the young families I have built relationships with,” he said.

“Every day I bump into a family or child I have had the pleasure of teaching and there is always a genuine interest in asking me how I am going.

“We are so proud of the service we provide to families, catering for children aged from 15 months to five years and we offer extended hours all year round to help accommodate our family’s needs.

“We deliver quality programs and work with families to ensure every child’s transition to school is both seamless and joyful,” he said.

The disco will be held at the centre on Friday 27 October, from 6pm to 8pm.
