Children out and about in new Goodstart bus fleet

Goodstart centres

Children from Goodstart Sinnamon Park have taken their new wheels for a test drive and given their latest mode of transport the thumbs up.

The centre is the first in Australia to receive one of 100 new buses being rolled out across Goodstart’s 644 centres.

Centre director Kristina McGruer said staff and children were excited to receive the first of the new fleet and having the bus meant the children were able to get out and about in the local community.

“Our kindy children use the bus each week to go to a storytelling session at the library and to visit our local aged-care centres where they sing and play with the residents,” Kristina said.

“We’ve also been able to take them on other excursions within the community as well as trips to the Bunnings kids DIY workshops which resulted in building our own worm farm and vege garden.”

The centres provides before and after school care so the bus is also used for a drop-off and service at local schools for families using this service.

The buses feature new branding, reversing cameras, GPS in the centre dashboard, and anchor points on all seats for easy car seat use.

Goodstart’s 100 new buses will be rolled out to centres over the coming months.
