Have some questions? See helpful questions and answers below.

  • It's best to contact our team as early as possible to ensure availability. In most cases, you are able to enrol your child throughout the year in which the Kindergarten and Preschool Program is being delivered.

  • Our centres offer longer hours and more flexible options than most sessional kindergarten and preschools, including nine-hour, 10-hour and all-day sessions. Not only that, we know not all families have the same routine, so our programs are on offer five days a week, 52 weeks a year.

  • Our program is underpinned by the Australia-wide Early Years Learning Framework established by the Australian Government. The framework describes the principles, practice and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children’s learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school.

  • QLD: Children turning four years of age on or before 30 June.

NSW; Children turning four years of age on or before 31 July.

ACT: Children who turn four years of age on or before 30 April.

WA: Children turning four years of age on or before 30 June.

VIC: Children who turn three years of age on or before 30 April.

TAS: Children turning four years of age on or before 1 January.

NT: Children turning four years of age on or before 30 June.

SA: Children turning four years of age on or before 1 May.

  • The cost varies based on each centre, and on family circumstances due to government financial support and rebates available.

Goodstart services are approved by the Australian Government, which means you may be eligible for financial support and rebates via the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). To learn more, visit www.mychild.gov.au or contact our Family Support Team on 1800 222 543 or use our Simple Subsidy Estimator.

Families that identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander are eligible for additional funding.

Additional funding is also available for vulnerable children and families facing temporary financial hardship. Please visit www.mychild.gov.au and www.humanservices.gov.au, or alternatively you can discuss with your centre director.

Based on a child's or families personal circumstances, there may also be other government funding available.

  • Our centres offer extras that will enhance your child's learning and help ease your busy lifestyle, such as nutritious meals, sunscreen and a range of excursions and incursions. Speak to your local centre to find out what they do. For a snapshot of some inclusions, visit any Goodstart centre listing page on this website and view the fees and inclusions menu.
