Goodstart Hendra

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Hendra is located in a residential area close to schools and shops as well as community amenities.

We cater for children from the ages of six weeks to five years. We have a large centre car park which allows our families easy access to our centre. Our child care centre facilities are very spacious for families and your children to explore and learn.

Goodstart Hendra prides itself on the genuine and nurturing relationships that educators have with children and their families. We have long standing educators which means we can offer stability and continuity of care for families and your children. We have a wonderful Early Childhood Teacher who develops a comprehensive school readiness program for our government funded Kindergarten program. Our educators at Goodstart Hendra either have their Diploma in Children’s Services or their Certificate III in Children's Services. Our educators are first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis trained. 
 
Goodstart Hendra bases its program on the Early Years Learning Framework and Emergent Curriculum, to develop exciting child centred programs. Programs are developed from the interests of the children in the room. Our child care centre has an open door policy in which we encourage families to be actively involved in our programs. Parents are also welcome to spend time in their child’s room.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have three areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. We have sandpits, grassed play areas and a balance of natural and manmade play equipment and spaces for the children to explore.
 
At Goodstart Hendra we provide all meals, and are lucky to have a qualified cook who prepares fresh and nutritious meals to fill hungry tummies. Our families, children and educators are encouraged to provide feedback on our meals and to support with the collaboration of new menus.
 
We also enjoy coming together with our families to celebrate special events such as Grandparent's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduation, parent evenings, family disco’s and our centre Christmas party. Families love reading the “Our Day” write-up, which explains what the children have been involved in during their day and how it links to the learning program. We love communicating with families and believe that the best early learning happens when parents and educators work in partnership together
