Goodstart Greenvale

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Greenvale is situated in close proximity to schools, Bus stops, Greenvale shopping centre and the Melbourne airport. We are situated off Mickleham Road heading towards the freeways leading into the city.

Our centre is a 120 place centre offering care for children aged six weeks to five years old, during the school holidays we provide an age appropriate program for children five years to twelve years. We are fully accredited under the NCAC. 

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.

Our highly qualified staff are committed to helping each child achieve their best through play ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. They are dedicated to ensuring each family has a positive experience.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our four playground areas have sandpits, vege patches, worm farms, cubbyhouses, a balance of manmade and natural play surfaces and lots of shade.

All our meals are cooked fresh on premises by our centre cook our dishes are multicultural and nutritious. We also cater for any special dietary requirements required.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

We provide a three year old kinder program. Our kinder teacher has been in early childhood for 20 years and has worked with children of all ages, Aruni has been employed at Montessori and has been here at Goodstart Greenvale for ten years.

Aruni is from Sri-Lanka and shares her culture with us through her program which children respond to extremely well. Aruni completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in 2019 .

We believe that Quality Kinder programs allow children to actively engage their minds in learning, which continues to build their brains to be ready for life. When children’s minds aren’t stimulated in the early years, the brains architecture does not build as expected which can disadvantage children down the track.

Our Quality Kindergarten program, values the child’s voice and is structured to allow children to use their own unique learning style to explore maths, language, investigation, creativeness, fine and gross motor skills, sensory experiences, their cultural identity and environmental understanding.

Our curriculum follows each individual child’s development whilst encouraging qualitative discovery and building strong dispositions for learning. We use the children’s interests as a platform to extend into the various facets of learning. There are no limits to what an outstanding Teacher can implement when children are given the chance to be a part of the planning.  Aruni bases her program on the children’s interests and extends the children’s development according to these interests.
