Welcome to Goodstart Hampton Park – Coral Drive!

We are your local early learning and long day care centre located on Bunurong/Boonwurrung Country of the Kulin Nation. We have a serene and nurturing nursery for babies, toddler space for adventurous explorers up to age three, and classrooms for three- and four-year-old kindergarten.

There are four age-based outdoor nature play spaces with sandpits, climbing forts, dry creek beds, vegetable patches, mud kitchen, slide, and swing to entertain children and ignite their imagination.

We're conveniently located on the corner of Hallam Road and Coral Drive, just a short walk to Hampton Park Shopping Centre and minutes from St Kevins and River Gum Primary Schools, with public transport at the doorstep. Take a tour; we'd love to show you around.

We value the role of families, working in partnership with you and championing your involvement. Our educational programs focus on each child's individual needs, interests, and strengths, ensuring an enjoyable learning experience.

Our three and four-year-old kindergarten classrooms each have two Bachelor-qualified early childhood teachers leading the curriculum, which is linked to the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and focuses on skills for school and life.

Our team work to ensure children have the best support and a smooth transition from early learning to Prep. We focus on fostering social and emotional wellbeing and a grasp of literacy and numeracy.

Our multilingual educators support families by embracing home languages and incorporating cultural perspectives into daily learning. Languages spoken include Hindi, Punjabi, Sinhalese, Persian and Tagalog.

Our incursions and excursions provide further opportunities for our young learners including visits to local schools, community gardens, a neighbouring retirement village, and fortnightly sport (for 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten) as well as music programs for all age groups

At Goodstart Hampton Park – Coral Drive, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners. 
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

My wife and I are very happy with Goodstart Hampton Park – Coral Drive. We have been sending our daughter there since she was 9 months old, and she is now doing the Kinder program. We love the high level of care that the Educators provide to the kids and the outstanding customer service they provide to parents. We also love the special events the centre organises, such as the Christmas party in a play centre, the yearly Family Day, as well as planting trees and community engagement events. We can see our daughter's development as she grows with this centre's education. We originally chose Goodstart Hampton Park – Coral Drive due to its proximity to our home, but straight away we realised we were really happy to send our daughter there. We couldn't recommend this centre enough.

The educators are simply outstanding!! Their patience, kindness, and genuine love for my kids shine through in everything they do. They take the time to understand my kid’s personality, strengths, and needs, creating a nurturing atmosphere where my kids feel valued and supported. My name is Upeksha Kulatunge, and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Hampton Park Coral Drive.

I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching and have been working in the early learning sector for almost 20 years. Over the years, I've gained a vast knowledge through my experience working in various roles, including Senior Educator, Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader, and Assistant Director, before stepping into my current role as Centre Director.

Being a mother of a primary school-aged daughter, I understand the importance of quality education and early learning, and the impact that it has on our children from an early age. I believe that the first five years are the most important and fundamental period of a child's life, which is why they deserve the best start here at Goodstart Hampton Park Coral Drive.

When I'm not in the centre, you'll find me spending time with my family. We love going for nature walks, picnics, and driving to different places. I love travelling around the world and exploring different cultures.

Government Funded Kindergarten Program

At Hampton Park - Coral Drive, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
