About our centre

Goodstart Kealba is a small, homely centre catering for children from three months to five years of age. We are located in a suburban area and are set back from the street in a quiet spot.

Along with fresh and bright facilities, we have reverse cycle heating and cooling in each room and shaded areas for outdoor play. We have pet rabbits and turtles in our foyer which our children (and parents!) love engaging with.

We offer 2 years of kinder. That's two years of continued high-quality early learning, playing and making friends. Everything your child needs to feel ready for school.

We have many long-standing educators, with the average length of service being eight years. Our educators are committed to continued professional development and ensuring their skills are up-to-date with industry best practice. All of us place a strong priority on developing close relationships with our families and their children.

Cat Le

Centre Director

Hi everyone, I’m Cat Le and I’m the Centre Director at Goodstart Kealba.

I am currently completing a secondment role, as the currently Centre Director of Kealba is currently on Maternity Leave. However, I have been at Kealba since June 2024 but been with the Goodstart organization since 2020.

I hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, and take great joy and satisfaction in overseeing the educational programs and care at Goodstart Kealba.

I have worked in the early learning profession since 2012 and have worked with all age groups as a Room Leader, Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader and now as a Centre Director.

My Philosophy:
I believe that children learn through play and socialising with their peers to build their confidence and sense of self. Children need to explore, create and push safe boundaries to learn about themselves and the world. I believe in empowering children through giving them autonomy, responsibilities, teaching them skills and celebrating achievements.

A little more about me:
When I’m not in the centre, I enjoy spending time cooking and playing with my family. My husband and I also enjoy travelling the world, eating exotic foods and sightseeing.

What I love about our community:
We are small, intimate centre with a unified passion, drive and goal to create an inclusive, fun, safe and educational environment for all the children.
