Welcome to Goodstart Rostrevor

Goodstart Rostrevor is located on Moules Road and is a purpose built childcare centre which provides much-needed care for local families.

What are our Centre environments like?

Spacious and Inviting Facilities: Our centre features six large and spacious learning spaces over two levels, 3 yards for each age group and with separate nursery sleep rooms, the centre provides a modern yet home-like naturally inspired environment. We are also fortunate to have a family lounge which is available during our opening hours - we welcome our families to take a moment to enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee.
Tailored Play-Based Learning: Our early learning programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. They are catered to each child's stage of development, from six weeks of age to Preschool-aged children. Curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework tailored to your child's individual interests.
Outdoor Exploration and Active Play: All age-based learning spaces have direct access to our outdoor nature-based designed play space, with sensory gardens, pebbled creek beds, tee pees, pergola, digging patch, vegetable garden and multiple large sandpits. Our beautiful outdoor dining hub provides a dedicated space for meals with our onsite kitchen with child-height servery allows our cook to serve and engage our children in cooking and preparing meals.

Highly Qualified Teachers: 2 Bachelor degree-qualified Preschool Teachers delivering exceptional early learning.
Educational Leader: Our Educational Leader has been in the early years sector for over 28 years. Her previous roles in schools is valuable to supporting not only all rooms in thriving for high quality programs, but support our teachers in providing high quality, school readiness programs for our preschool children.
Multilingual Support: Educators who speak a variety of languages including Bengali, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Vietnamese to support diverse families.
Healthy, Inclusive Meals: Egg and nut-free menu with daily vegetarian options and all dietary requirements catered for.
Enriching Curriculum: Play-based learning tailored to each child’s interests and development.

At Goodstart Rostrevor, we are passionately committed to providing children with a secure environment that fosters a deep sense of belonging and well-being. Through the implementation of the Keeping Children Safe Program in our preschool rooms, we actively build children's knowledge and confidence, empowering them to advocate for themselves.

Our dedication extends beyond the classroom; our educators engage in Child Protection Professional Development and complete RRHAN training every three years. This ensures that we are not only advocates for children but also equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to support and protect them.

Our educators are resolutely committed to safeguarding children from abuse, neglect, and harm, creating an environment where every child, family, and educator feels valued, respected, and included. At Goodstart Rostrevor, our top priority is to maintain a nurturing environment where children always feel safe and empowered.

We have been a Goodstart Rostrevor family for 2 years with both of our children attending from 9 months old. We could not be happier with our experience. Each staff member is caring, supportive and welcoming. The bonds that our children have with their educators are so special. Between Goodstart’s gorgeous staff members and the wonderful families we have met, we really do feel part of the Goodstart family! We have been amazed with the development we have seen in our kids from the learning done within their rooms. Communication from educators is frequent so you always know what your children are up to. Centre Director

Hi, my name is Stella, I have been working in early learning for eight years and have been with Goodstart Rostrevor since its opening in January 2021, starting as the Assistant Director.

In December 2023 I was thrilled to have been given the opportunity to step into the role of Centre Director. I am a mum of a little girl, I am very grateful that she gets to learn, grow and thrive in a family-like environment, that being Goodstart Rostrevor.

I am not only passionate about playing a part in each child’s journey, growth and development, but I also have a strong passion for mentoring, guiding and building confidence in my team. I want to build a stronger network of educators that continue to shape the foundation for a child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development - setting the stage for future learning and success.

We are proud to have a team of highly skilled, multicultural educators who are committed to providing exceptional care and learning experiences. I am honoured to lead and mentor this passionate group, as we work together to exceed the National Quality Standards. Our educators critically reflect on their practices and are dedicated to continually enhancing their skills through ongoing professional development, to ensure we consistently provide high quality care.

Our purpose-built centre has been designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Alongside our dedicated educators and thoughtfully designed spaces, we view parents as our most important partners. By working closely with families, we ensure that every child receives the highest quality care and education.
