Goodstart Rural View

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Rural View is located in Mackay's Northern Beaches, close to residential areas, schools, shops and main roads - as well as transport routes and it is not too far from the beach!

We pride ourselves on the fun, family environment that fosters the development of each and every child that we care for. From Nursery through to Kindergarten, we aim to deliver a unique caring environment to our children and families. We aim to create a positive, safe and nurturing environment for all.

With our team of dedicated educators we believe that all children are equal and are to be respected and included in planning for their education and development. We encourage and support family involvement and that of our community. Through informing and educating children on the values of our community through planned events and centre visitors, children are developing strong bonds within the community.  

At Goodstart Rural View, our aim is for children to be active learners. Our educators work together with families through their children’s learning journey and respect the parent also as a collaborator in the daily education process. 

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
 
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces, with sandpits, open spaces, natural gardens, climbing equipment and shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

Community is also important to us. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
