• The benefits of outdoor play and Bush Kinder

  In case you haven't noticed, we love the outdoors and how immersive it is for sensory and play-based learning. Bush kinder is an outdoor education program recognised by ACEEQA and is suitable for children younger than kindergarten age. 
  
  It's so effective because children can do what they're supposed to: run, jump, play in puddles, climb trees, jump off rocks and explore. They learn by doing, experimenting and engaging their whole body and senses. We're huge fans, and we know you will be, too.

• Our spaces are designed to support EYLF and VEYLDF learning outcomes

  We use the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF); our environments are set up to maximise children’s learning, providing opportunities to experience a sense of success, achievement and belonging.

• We get everyone ready for Prep: our children AND their schools

  The challenges of starting school go beyond academics. We do everything we can to ensure our pre-preps are given every opportunity to succeed in their first year of school and beyond.

  • We are visited every Friday from our local primary school during the pre-Prep year.
  • We have excursions to local schools and practice mornings.

  We use the Early Years Wellbeing Program by the Resilience Project to inspire positive wellbeing strategies for next year. 

• Goodstart’s Key Educator Approach

  Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children.

  Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.

  We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.
