About Goodstart Early Learning
Started in 2009, Goodstart is a not-for-profit organisation that was formed with the intention to give every child in Australia access to quality early learning. More than 13,500 dedicated staff support over 59,000 families around the country, helping thousands of children learn, grow and play every day.
Our early learning centres are designed to be perfect for babies from 6 weeks right through to kindergarten-aged children. Once in our preschool rooms, children can participate in our Government-approved kindergarten programs, which are in place to prepare them for their schooling years.
Learning through play guides the interactions between team members and children, and our educators look for any opportunities to build on a child’s natural interests and established knowledge. This is the key to keeping each child engaged and interested, as well as developing their love of learning.
What you should look for in an early learning centre
If you’re in the process of choosing childcare, you’ll be aware that not every centre is equal. There are many things to keep in mind, including:
- overall feeling of the centre
- what the team members are like
- the happiness of the children already enrolled
- opening hours
- physical environment
Of course, these points are just a few of the many you need to consider. Visiting your short-listed centres before completing any enrolment forms is a great idea – that way, you can see the facilities with your own eyes and ask the director as many questions as you need.
Our Melbourne early learning centres
Like all of our centres around Australia, our Melbourne childcare centres are held to extremely high standards for quality, in terms of both the facility and the educators we employ. We believe in bright, clean and uncluttered centres, giving children room to play, imagine and interact.
With more than 30 centres around Melbourne, you are likely to find a Goodstart that is convenient for your family’s life, whether you are searching for one near your home or workplace.
