Goodstart Blue Haven

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Blue Haven is a 70 place centre conveniently located opposite Blue Haven Public School and a short walk to the Blue Haven Community Centre.

We cater for children from six weeks to five years, in two buildings, with the preschool building separate to the main building. Inside, our rooms are set up to ensure the children’s individual needs and interests are met, while working to the Early Years Learning Framework in curriculum delivery. Outside, we have spacious and stimulating playground areas which encourage the children to develop understanding around areas of nature, environment and sustainability.

Our nursery has its own separate playground within the main playground to ensure they are able to interact with their siblings and older children throughout the day; while still having a safe and separate area to explore.
The educators at our centre take pride in building strong relationships with all children and their families. We believe that families are the most important influence on a child’s learning and development, and encourage families to work with us in partnership. This relationship building is cemented by our key educator approach.

Our documentation of each child’s learning journey with us is done via Storypark which is an online medium where parents and educators can share information about their child ensuring there is a holistic approach to each child’s learning.

Our centre is part of a program within Goodstart which is designed to Enhance Children’s Outcomes (EChO) and as such we are developing an integrated approach to early education and have access to a family worker from Benevolent Society, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist and an Art Therapist who work with educators to increase their knowledge and skills in working with children and families.
