About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Melbourne Flinders Street is conveniently located opposite Flinders Street Station in the five X building on the corner of Elizabeth St and Flinders St.

We have 6 learning spaces:

Nursery One (0-15 months)
Nursery Two (15 months-24 months)
Toddler One (2-3 years)
Toddler Two (2-3 Years)
3-Year-Old Kindergarten (3-4 years)
4-Year-Old Kindergarten (4-5 years)

We offer 2 years of accredited government funded Kindergarten programs. That's two years of continued high-quality early learning, playing and making friends. Everything your child needs to feel ready for school.

Our rooms are thoughtfully designed to reflect our commitment to children, educators, families and the local community. Our resource rich environments encourage children to explore, and our play-based learning programs are delivered by a team of passionate qualified early childhood educators and teachers.

We communicate with parents throughout the day ensuring you don’t miss out on all the fun! Through Story Park families are provided with a secure login which enables you to keep informed through pictures, stories and learning outcomes.

Like the families that come here, many of our staff are from different cultural backgrounds and during the year we look forward to celebrating our diversity through events, language and stories.

We have amazing centre wide programs such as:

Happy Feet Music and Movement classes on a Tuesday
Mini Monstars Sports Program on a Thursday

We've had a wonderful experience here. All educators and admin are proactive with communications and ensuring the children have a safe and fun learning experience. They're caring and focus on building relationships with the children. We trusted them with two of our children so we have been going there since 2019 all the way from baby room to kindergarten.

Centre Director

Hi, my name is Chelsea Snowden and I am the Centre Director of Goodstart Melbourne Flinders Street.

I have been in the Early Childhood profession for over ten years and hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.

I believe children are at the heart of everything we do, and we want to encourage each child to be strong, confident and independent beings to give them the best possible start in life. We celebrate culture and the diversity that we have in our Melbourne centre and welcome each family to our service. We create learning experiences that focus on the needs of each individual child, extend on their developmental milestones and encourage children to explore, engage and fulfil their dreams. Most of all, we want them to be happy, secure and become a part of the Flinders St community.

I am fortunate to lead a team of experienced, passionate and highly qualified early childhood educators who strive to have strong and genuine partnerships with our families and local community. The care and bond that the educators build with each child is evident in each learning space as you see the children’s voices and see them confident to make choices in their play. We look forward to meeting you and your children and working together to form a strong, long-lasting relationship through your child’s early years!
