About our centre

Welcome to Goodstart Early Learning Richmond.

At Goodstart Richmond, our centre is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children from six weeks to school aged.

We offer long daycare and kindergarten programs and our play-based learning programs are designed to promote:  

A child’s natural sense of enquiry
Literacy, numeracy and social skills
Creativity, problem solving and resilience

These are all critical skills needed for school and life. Quality play-based learning gives children hands-on exploration of the world around them.

We believe every child holds the right to develop at their own pace physically and cognitively. I believe to achieve this adequately you need to provide a fun happy and loving environment where every single child feels comfortable and supported.
Our Key educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators.
Goodstart Early Learning Richmond has a natural and homely environment and is in central Richmond.
Inviting, engaging, and age appropriate learning environments ensure the children in our care have a chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring all children’s interests and needs are met at all times.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. The centre has a working worm farm, and three vegetable plots which help to provide seasonal produce for our centre menu. 
Yes we offer a state approved funded kindergarten program.

Welcome to Goodstart Early Learning Richmond! Hello, I’m Felicity, Centre Director at Goodstart Richmond. I’ve been with Goodstart since 2018, having worked across many roles, and I am incredibly proud to lead this wonderful centre.

I believe in fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child’s individual needs are met. Our team at Goodstart Richmond is passionate about providing the best learning experiences that allow each child to explore, grow, and thrive at their own pace. Our approach is built on strong foundations of respect, curiosity, and kindness, which we believe are the cornerstones of early childhood education.

What I love most about the Richmond community is its vibrancy and diversity. We embrace and celebrate every child and family, creating an environment where all feel welcomed and valued.
