Goodstart Toongabbie

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Toongabbie is located in a residential area close to schools and shops. We are conveniently close to main roads and transport routes which makes the daily drop-off and pick-up less stressful.

Our educators pride themselves on offering high quality care to the local and wider community. Experienced educators work in collaboration with children and families to provide the best possible individual care and learning experience.

Our curriculum is based on play based learning that is focused on children’s interests and families input. We understand that children are learning who they are, where they belong and who they will become.

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
 
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our three areas have sandpits, vege patches, worm farms, water pump, dry creek bed, decking and lots of shade.

We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl.

We believe that families are a child’s first teacher that contributes their own beliefs and values. We strive to keep continuity of care between the home and our service.

We are constantly working towards building strong partnerships based on open communication and providing support to raise their family in a happy and healthier environment. This ensures that the children and the families receive the best possible experience within the service.
 
We have a strong partnership with the local primary school and work alongside them to prepare our children for their next educational endeavour. We aim to link with community members and would love to form links with Aboriginal elders to gain further insight into their culture.

We acknowledge the Toongagal tribe as the original owners of this land and wish to form a strong relationship with the Indigenous community and this is reflected throughout learning opportunities within the service.
