Goodstart Pendle Hill

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Pendle Hill, is a 38 place, two room child care centre located in a quiet and convenient residential area close to local schools and shops.

We have seven educators at our centre; a Centre Director, two Group Leaders, three Assistants and one cook. Our educators also hold a Food Handlers Certificate and current First Aid Certificates.

Our educators create and offer a diverse program based on the individual needs of the children. 

Inside, our Kindergarten / Preschool rooms are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.  Our two play areas have a dry river bed, log cabin, chook pen, vege patches, sandpits and lots of shade.

We have Incursions at the centre and invite people freom the community such as Police, Fireman, Dentist, Story Tellers and Healthy Harold to come and discuss important issues with the children.

At the end of the year, Goodstart Pendle Hill has a Pre-school Graduation night for all those leaving for school and an End of Year Celebration. We celebrate the children's birthday as we believe each child is unique and special in their own way.

Educators at our child care centre are always keen to attend in service training, as this allows them to keep up to date with current legislation's and educational trends.
