Goodstart Petrie

Goodstart Early Learning Petrie is nestled in the leafy surrounds of Petrie, conveniently located near Petrie State School, Kurwongbah State School, with an IGA across the road, and a bus stop at the front of the centre. This allows families to continue their child’s education in one seamless location, fostering friendships and connections that begin at Goodstart Early Learning.

Our educators are dedicated and experienced, with many being long-standing members of our team. We are proud to have two Early Childhood Teachers who deliver a high-quality play-based program that nurtures each child’s development. Our rooms, from Nursery to Kindergarten, are thoughtfully designed to align with the Early Years Learning Framework, providing sensory and play-based learning opportunities tailored to meet individual developmental needs.

We are committed to sustainability, offering a recycling area where families can drop off materials. These items are incorporated into the children’s learning experiences, promoting creativity and environmental awareness. Through our connections with local Indigenous groups, we integrate cultural education into our programs, ensuring children gain a rich understanding of our shared history and heritage.

Our outdoor spaces are engaging and age-appropriate, encouraging imagination, exploration, and active play. We are thrilled to offer Bush Kindy, where children connect with nature and engage in meaningful, hands-on learning in the great outdoors. Additionally, our indoor-outdoor program runs all day, allowing children to freely choose and explore their environment.

To support families, we maintain strong partnerships through open communication and regular updates via our Storypark platform and newsletters. We value parent involvement and offer transition sessions, giving families the opportunity to meet their child’s new educator and discuss their individual needs and goals. These partnerships ensure that each child’s strengths, interests, and cultural backgrounds are at the heart of our programs.
