Goodstart Bateau Bay

Our centre is located in the local Central Coast community of Bateau Bay, conveniently located on The Entrance Rd, not far from the local beaches and Wyrrabalong National Park.  

We educate and care for children between six weeks and six years old across three indoor learning spaces. At Goodstart Bateau Bay we believe children learn through play in an environment rich with choice. Our indoor and outdoor learning environments are designed with a focus on play based learning with a range of open ended natural materials and play spaces available for children to explore, experiment and discover. Children have the choice to play indoor or outdoors across the day, extending their knowledge and allowing them to develop independence, respect and a sense of ownership for their environment. 

Our centre is a 62 place service. We have three rooms with the age configuration varying to meet the needs of new families. Currently ages in our rooms are as follows:

• Our nursery learning space caters up to 12 children aged 6 weeks-2.5 years.
• The pre-kindy learning space caters for up to 20 children aged 2-3.5 years.
• The preschool learning space caters for up to 30 children aged 3.5-6 years.

Our outdoor areas are characterised by lush natural elements of sand stone rocks, boulders, sitting stones, tree stumps, timber board walks and large overgrown clumping bamboo that creates small cubby like areas for children to create a world of wonder. Educators recognise the value of risk taking for young children and have collaborated to introduce elements that allow children to explore risk in a safe and supported manner and become aware of their own safety and boundaries. 

Our early learning educational programs cater to each individual child's stage of development.  Our curriculum is centred around the Early Years Learning Framework and is tailored to each child's unique strengths, needs and interests. All children and rooms participate in excursions into our local community, we value exploring beyond the gate to complement our educational program and to link our preschool community with our wider local community. We value all weather play and encourage children to bring gumboots and raincoats to venture outdoors when it’s raining.

With a highly experienced team on board, Goodstart Bateau Bay offers your family high quality early learning and care.  All of our experienced educators hold formal qualifications, including Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching degrees, Certificate III and Diplomas in Children’s Services and are passionate about delivering a leading early learning curriculum in a welcoming and inspiring environment. 

We support all children to develop the necessary life skills required for a successful transition to school, we have close connections with local schools such as Bateau Bay, Brooke Avenue and Killarney Vale Public Schools. 

We use Storypark to share your child's learning. This industry leading program lets you see the learning experiences of your child and allows you to interact with educators to enable real connections between what your child learns at Goodstart Bateau Bay centre and what happens at home.

We have allocated car spaces in the main carpark near the centre main entry that allow convenient drop offs and pick-ups.

Our fees are inclusive of nappies, sun cream, wipes, milk for rest bottles, sheets in nursery and all meals. Lunch is made externally and delivered fresh each day by Kids Gourmet Food and consists of a hot lunch. We provide morning and afternoon tea, with fruit and snacks available between meals to cater for children’s changing requirements. We provide meal alternatives to cater for children with differing dietary or allergic needs. You will only need to provide a bag with spare clothes, a broad brimmed hat and water bottle.
