Goodstart Early Learning Cowra is situated close to the centre of town, within walking distance to Cowra’s nature-based adventure playground and the iconic Japanese Gardens. Our learning environments reflect individual children’s learning and development underpinned by the National Early Years learning framework and Quality Standards,
Our centre consists of four rooms; nursery (0-2), toddlers (2-3) and two preschool rooms (3-4 and 4-5). We also have one room set aside for meetings, therapy support space, family information session and much more. Our large outdoor spaces encourage children to play, explore and imagine. Our outdoor learning curriculum scaffolds children’s increasing knowledge of, and respect for natural and constructed environments.

We strive to work collaboratively with families by various methods of social media platforms; Facebook; to promote & notify families and the community of happenings within our centre & Storypark where we can document and communicate learning as it happens via photos, videos and observations within a secure online environment. This enable educators and families to maintain a consistent and clear line of communication to record children’s developments, milestones and achievements. In addition, we hold family gatherings, information sessions and community events, plus communications via newsletters.

We pride ourselves on our participation in community events, visits to the schools plus walks around our neighborhood and now working with Tresillian-Cowra in bringing information sessions to our families to support their needs. Providing these opportunities support the children to develop a sense of belonging to the local community.

Our preschool program lays the foundations for learning skills in preparation for the transition to big school. We support the orientation visits with the local schools and work in close partnership with the teachers and families for a smooth beginning in Kindergarten.
