Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Dubbo – Cobra Street is located in the centre of Dubbo, making us convenient and stress free when it comes to the daily drop-off and pick up! We were built by local builders and opened June 15, 2004.

Our educators demonstrate a high level of professionalism and the care and education of our children is a high priority at all times. The centre, by design, has a home feel. The entrance leads to a hallway with each of the four rooms and kitchen coming off this hallway.

Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.

We have two playgrounds featuring beautiful natural elements such as bark, flowers and a vegetable and herb garden maintained by the children. The outdoor area also features a rock garden, bamboo on some of the fencing to soften the effect of colour bond fencing, a large sandpit, extra shaded areas for babies and recycled garden accessories.  The small play area is for the younger children and the larger for the older children - although children often play together when we have family grouping times.

We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl.

Goodstart Early Learning Dubbo Cobra Street is a family orientated centre that encourages siblings to play together between 6.30am and 9am and then again between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.

We encourage families to visit and join us for special occasions such as Easter hat parades, Christmas parties and information evenings.
