Goodstart Estella

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Estella is located in the developing suburb of Estella, on the Northern side of Wagga Wagga. 

Our centre has provided care and education for the children of our small community for more 20 years.
At Goodstart Estella, we are fortunate to have a small centre – with rooms from Nursery to Preschool - which allows for close relationships between our children and educators, as well as the families and our local community.

Being a small early learning centre means that siblings are able to spend time together during the day and children are able to engage in play with other children of varying ages. Having the opportunity to engage in mixed age grouping during outdoor play allows the children to practice skills such as responsibility, risk management and empathy.

All of our educators hold a Certificate three in children’s services or higher. We are a passionate and experienced team, with many years’ experience between us.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms are all geared with this in mind. We also develop engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
 
This is made simpler through our Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with large trees, vegetable gardens, sandpits, outdoor kitchen and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
 
We have a qualified cook who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
 
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
