Goodstart Thornton

Goodstart Early Learning Thornton is nestled in Somerset Park in Thornton with many families living in the local area. Our centre is a 64 place centre catering for children aged six weeks through to the transition to school.  

Our curriculum follows the Early Years Learning Framework and is implemented by highly qualified and experienced teachers and educators.

We value the power of play as a process by which children learn and an essential component for healthy growth and development. Our focus on literacy and STEM forms the basis for our academic curriculum an essential part of our holistic approach to children’s learning.

Our key educator approach fosters positive relationships between children, educators and families and supports the social and emotional learning of all children from our youngest babies to our more experienced preschoolers. We have a comprehensive preschool program and partnership with local school’s support children and families as they navigate this important transition from preschool to school.

Our outdoor play spaces offer opportunities for children to connect with nature and explore sustainable practices as they tend to our worm farm and veggie patches.  

Meals are prepared on site with our qualified chef offering a variety of delicious and healthy meals.

Partnerships with families are valued and we encourage family involvement and collaboration. Our Storypark platform provides a means for connection and enhanced communication between families and the centre.
