Goodstart Early Learning and Care Service West Kempsey acknowledges the Dunghutti People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we play and learn.  We are proud to have a published Reconciliation Action Plan on the Narragunnawali platform.  We are all about supporting and working with our families and the wider community.
 
Our location, over the railway line in West Kempsey is convenient; close to amenities and transport as well as offering our own off street car park. Our location allows us to be involved in the community through excursions and community walks.  
 
Our centre values the partnerships we have developed with our families. Through these partnership we work collaboratively towards creating a curriculum that ensures learning experiences are meaningful for all children. We are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and we have a well-balanced approach, meeting the individual characters and needs of each child as well as providing for small and large groups interests.
 
Our centre’s vision is: “We are dedicated to developing relationships with the Dunghutti People who are the Traditional Custodians of the land to support the learning and nurturing of all children within our community. We are committed to high quality, educational curriculums that support families in the spirit of Reconciliation so that we can promote and facilitate respect, trust and positive relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.  
 
We have four rooms within the centre: Nursery, Toddlers, Kindy and Preschool. An onsite cook provides healthy and nutritionally-balanced meals approved by NSW Health’s Munch and Move Program . Each yard has a strong focus on nature and sustainability with vegie patches, citrus trees, as well as potted plants and herbs. The mud pit is also a very popular natural feature in the 2-5 yard as well.
 
Our team of dedicated educators who have over 198 years’ experience in Early Childhood enjoy watching the children grow and develop; we focus on lifelong learning so encourage the children right from the Nursery through to the Preschool Room to embrace challenges, be open and excited to learn new things and become resilient in their learning. The majority of our team has worked together consistently for many years and have educated and cared for generations of families that have come through our service.
