Goodstart Boonah

Goodstart Boonah is a rural centre situated in the outskirts of Boonah, in the Scenic Rim Shire. It can be found at the lower end of Church Street, close to all community conveniences as well as local schools and shops. 

Goodstart Boonah is well known for its highly qualified team of local educators. Our centre is licenced for 65 children aged six weeks to 12 years. It is open from 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year. We are only closed on public holidays.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

Building our community connection through park play’s allowing us to build stronger relationships with our broader community this is done on a monthly basis around our local community area. 

This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with  swings, sandpits, dirt pits, natural gardens, a stage, veranda’s, veggie patch and sustainability areas. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

Our centre takes pride in providing a Sun Smart environment and is accredited through the Cancer Council.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
