Goodstart Deeragun

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Deeragun is located 20 minutes north of Townsville. We are situated in the semi- rural area of Deeragun, an idyllic area only minutes from the central business area.
Our centre has a fun and exciting program - in line with the Early Years' Learning Framework; which delivers educational, play-based learning. This enables children to build strong friendships and self-esteem. 
 
We run a Government funded Kindergarten program, for children between 4 and 5 years. This program is run by a qualified Teacher with a Bachelor of Education and is designed to support the children in readiness for school. 
 
Our Storypark platform enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication.  This enables us to tailor each program to your child’s individual needs, interests and strengths.
 
Outside, we have two areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. We have a vegetable and fruit garden to enhance the children's knowledge of where fruit and vegetables come from. Each room adds their own special touch to the garden. We have sustainable practices throughout the centre such as recycling, composting and energy saving.


Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience of all children. A part of this community focus we include the cultures of all our children and families into our curriculum and play spaces. We also celebrate community festivals and events with our children and families e.g. Talk like a pirate day, Red nose day, Day for Daniel, Pyjama day.
