Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Mackay - Bridge Road is located close to the city, schools, base hospital and airport. It is a purpose built child care centre comprising of two buildings, accommodating children from six weeks to school age. Each room has a variety of age appropriate equipment to play with, helping your child to expand their physical and social development.

Qualified early learning professionals will work in partnership with you to create educational programs that encourage your child to develop at their own pace. Through play and problem solving your child will make new discoveries about themselves and their environment.
 
A Government funded Kindergarten program is available at our centre for children aged 4 to 5 years. Prior to orientation, children can attend excursions to the local school’s prep room to meet with teachers and families in the prep environment, which assists with the transition. 
 
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
 
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

Our recently upgraded outdoor environment has a wonderful playground for your child to explore, with shade sails, sandpits, forts and swings. Your child can participate in outdoor activities such as riding around the bike track, tending a vegie and herb garden and caring for the chickens, Henny Penny and Chicken Little. These activities provide early learning opportunities such as healthy eating and the responsibilities of owning pets.
 
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences - as well as other extra-curricular activities - are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
