Goodstart Slacks Creek

Goodstart Early Learning Centre Slacks Creek is a secure, safe, inviting, open door centre that is situated near the corner of Kingston and Park Roads, we offer convenience while ensuring your child will enjoy the peace and quiet of a safe and secure location which is also close to our local schools, shops and transport.

Our large shaded playgrounds offer a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces with a wide range of experiences including a mud digging patch, outdoor kitchen, a bike track, a construction area and lots of space for running, exploring and discovery!

Our Educators are all highly qualified and passionate about teaching and creating an environment where children feel safe, loved and comfortable. We offer an inclusive and age appropriate program, based on each child’s individual interests and ideas.

Our play based curriculum is aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines. We document the children’s interests, identify the skills they are developing and extend on their learning by offering further learning experiences. In addition to documenting learning, the Storypark platform also assists us to work closely with our families to ensure the individual needs, interests and strengths of the children are strongly evident within the programs as well as providing real-time opportunities to connect and communicate with families.

 We actively play a role in our Community and participate in a variety of activities and events, we also invite members of our Community into the centre to share their culture, knowledge and talents with the children this allows us to embed our relationships between our centre, families, children and community.

 We encourage diversity within the centre and celebrate events such as Christmas, Anzac Day, Children’s Week and NAIDOC Week. We love days that include activities promoting other cultures as well as Australia Day, Waitangi Day, and the Chinese New Year. These events and special days allow our children, families and educators to share their cultures with each other to develop strong relationships.
