Goodstart Virginia

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Virginia is situated in the heart of Virginia, with convenient access to the Virginia railway station as well as local schools, shops and community facilities.

Our beautiful purpose-built centre is staffed by a team of dedicated, long-standing educators. All our educators are trained in early childhood development, educational theory, health and safety, and the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum. 

We deliver our programs via play-based learning. Our service offers a combination of both indoor and outdoor free play experiences as well as teacher-initiated programs and spontaneous learning opportunities.

Our aim is to expose all children within our care to a variety of languages, cultures and customs through an array of activities within our daily programs including cooking, singing, learning languages, stories and games. We also believe that teaching children to foster a healthy lifestyle is important, and promote this by encouraging healthy eating, and engaging the children in physical activities and experiences based around health, nutrition and dental hygiene. 

We pride ourselves on our relationships with families. We encourage all parents and guardians to be active contributors to the centre, working together to form a partnership that supports your child’s physical, cognitive, language, social and emotional development. 

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have two areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. We have large sandpits, cubbyhouses, herb gardens, other beautiful gardens, natural and manmade play surfaces and lots of shade.

We believe that all children have the right to an individual opinion, and therefore, they are treated as individuals with unique personalities. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow and we strive to help each child become a well-rounded, healthy individual in both body and mind.
