Welcome to Goodstart Greenvale

We play and learn on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples.

At Goodstart Greenvale, we’re all about community and connection. We take the extra time to ensure our families feel like they’re our family.

Goodstart Greenvale is a tranquil, consistent, community-minded centre with a long-standing team, including a kinder teacher of 28 years!

We have a separate kinder room in a quiet area and excel in relationships with children and families through authentic connections.

Fun fact: We have a family that flies in/out (FIFO), and we video call the FIFO parent so they can see what their child is doing during the day.

We've set up a dedicated kinder space that we've intentionally separated from the main building and shared areas.

This is unique to us, and our families find this aligns with their expectations that kinder should be treated differently from our other early learning spaces and rooms.
Most of our team has been working together for over 10 years. Our kinder early childhood teachers (ECT) have worked together at our centre for over a decade. This means the two years your child spends in kinder with us will be perfectly aligned.
We love working together, we love our centre and what we do every day. It's fair to say our educators are very happy where they are and have no plans to move anywhere anytime soon…
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children.
Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family.

Penny Beaton

Centre Director

Hi there! My name is Penny and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Greenvale.

I have been in the childcare industry for 30 years, having started in 1990. I have worked with children from six weeks to five years of age. I have a Diploma in Children's Services and have been with Goodstart for about 20 years.

I believe that we, as early childcare professionals, play a very important role in helping all children grow and develop to their fullest potential as individuals. Every child has the right to the best possible start in life - and it is a privilege to be a part of such an important part of their life and development.

The team I am fortunate to work with shares my passion for seeing children meet their potential. They are dedicated, professional, experienced and highly qualified.
