Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Narre Warren - Sherwood Road is located in a convenient yet safe and sound pocket of suburbia, close to residential areas, shops and local schools.

Our vision is simple. We aim to provide a learning environment where all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We are a purpose built child care and education facility which aims to provide these services accompanied with the help of our dedicated, trained and experienced Educators and Teachers.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive service with affordable, high quality, developmental and educational care to our community for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. We offer both 3 year old and 4 year old funded kindergarten programs along with a prep transition program with Strathaird Primary School which is located directly across the road from our Centre.

Our activities, curriculum and facilities are designed around the Early Years' Learning Framework and Victorian Early Years’ Learning and Development Framework and aim to make children feel comfortable in their learning environment. Our centre aims to create a home-like feel with natural furnishes, colours and resources. The Kinder programs include excursions to the park next door and Straithaird Primary School.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. Our welcoming approach and our strong relationships with families and the community means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces which give the children every opportunity to learn and explore while familiarising themselves with their environment and the importance of sustainability. We have completed a new yard upgrade offering children space to explore the natural constructed environment, mud kitchen, dry creek bed, and so much more.

We have a qualified cook who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Regular visits from emergency services, Body Safety Australia, Responsible Pet Ownership, Dentist and sporting, drama and cultural organisations all enhance the learning experience provided. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

During the first five years, children experience rapid growth and change. Throughout their time at our centre, children feel a sense of becoming as we prepare them for the next chapter of their journey.
