About our centre

Goodstart Point Cook Shaftsbury Boulevard was purpose-built and established in 2002. We are located close to many local schools and a new secondary college, and are only a short walking distance from the local health centre and doctors surgery.

We are a 98-place child care centre, catering for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. All of our rooms are divided into yearly age groups so that children can access a program that is right for them. Our playgrounds feature secure fences outlining the building, lots of shaded areas and plenty of room for the children to play.

We offer a stimulating, challenging and developmentally appropriate program to all children enrolled, from babies through to our school readiness program.

We communicate with our families via daily conversations, quarterly newsletters, emails, and our parent notice board. All of our educators have current first aid, CPR and anaphylaxis training which we update regularly.

Gunjan Nagpal

Centre Director

Hi, my name is Gunjan Nagpal, and I am the Centre Director here at Goodstart Early Learning Point Cook Shaftsbury Boulevard. I am covering Staci for her maternity leave till mid-March 2025.

With 20 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working with children at various stages of their development, and I am deeply passionate about fostering a nurturing, safe, and educational environment where every child can flourish. Over the years, I have seen firsthand the impact of quality early childhood education, and my goal is to ensure that our centre provides the highest standards of care and learning.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of children and families, gaining a strong understanding of the importance of individual attention, creativity, and emotional support in early learning. I am committed to building a collaborative, positive atmosphere for both our children and staff, where continuous growth and development are encouraged. I look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s growth and create a strong foundation for their future success.
