Goodstart Portland

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Portland is located in a quiet residential area only a few minutes’ drive from the CBD with plenty of parking available at the centre to make drop-off and pick-up stress free for busy parents.
 
Our centre provides high quality childcare and kindergarten to children from six weeks to six years and we are set out in five rooms -  from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschools - which have been specifically designed for varying age groups; all in line with the Early Years' Learning Framework.  
 
At Goodstart Portland we are proud of our multicultural families and educators and we welcome all nationalities in our service.
 
Our wonderful team of educators have been with us for many years which allows us to provide stability to children and families and build strong and lasting relationships.  Some of our educators have been here since the centre first opened its doors.   All of our educators are Certificate 3 or Diploma qualified in early childhood and have numerous years’ experience in caring for children in our local community.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam. Franklin the turtle and Astro the rabbit are also an important part of our centre family.
 
To ensure our children have plenty of energy to learn and play we have a dedicated cook at the centre that provides nutritional satisfying meals for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
