About our centre

Goodstart Wantirna South Cathies Lane is located in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood. We have two easy access points to Eastlink, public transport nearby and plenty of onsite parking amenities available.
Our Early Learning service provides care for children aged between six weeks and six years holding a maximum of sixty five children across four rooms per day.

Each room operates an educational program which is driven by the children and supported by the educators through intentional teaching strategies

At Goodstart Cathies Lane we pride ourselves in our Educator retention. Both members of centre management have been at the service for over twelve years, four of our Group Leaders have been at the service for ten years, with majority of the remaining educators being here for quite some time also. We currently have a team that consists of 18 dedicated and passionate educators, each whom are committed to making a difference in children’s lives by providing rich learning opportunities and through developing sustained and meaningful relationships with all children in their care.

Our vision is to create a “home away from home for our families” – a place where the children feel safe, secure environment where children learn whilst simply having fun!

Welcome to Goodstart Early Learning, Wantirna South- Cathies Lane VIC. My name is Sunpreet Kaur, and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning, Wantirna South - Cathies Lane. With over 13 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education, I am deeply passionate about creating a nurturing, safe and enriching environment for young learners.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and I have also completed a Master of Professional Accounting in Australia.

Over the past seven years at Wantirna South – Cathies Lane centre, I have had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with children and their families, our dedicated team members and sustaining collaborative partnerships with the wider community.

These connections are at the heart of our centre’s philosophy, where we focus on fostering growth, creativity, and the peaceful learning environment that aligns with our mission and values: “A Home Away from Home”.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, including my husband and son. I am also passionate about cooking a variety of foods and I find joy in listening to music, which also serves as a relaxing corner for me.
