Goodstart Atwell

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Atwell is located in park-like surroundings in sunny Atwell, conveniently located opposite Atwell Primary School. To allow for easy city commuting, we are located on a main bus route and a 5 minute drive from Cockburn Train Station.

Our centre is a long standing trusted part of the Atwell community. We have many families who choose to return to us with new additions to their families.

We provide education and care for all children aged birth to five years, with programs all aligned to the Early Years' Learning Framework .

Our centre was assessed by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority  and we received an overall rating of ‘Exceeding’. This process is a National Framework, which rates all Childcare Centres across Australia against the National Quality Standards.

Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

We have strong relationships with support agencies who will work in partnership with us to support our families and we are very fortunate to have a diverse cultural representation in our centre. Languages spoken by educators include, Mandarin, Punjabi and Hindu.

Our team of educators all hold or are working towards qualifications in Children’s Services.  We are very fortunate to have three Early Childhood Teachers on our team, creating a very dynamic early childhood education programme.  We have long standing educators, one of which has been here 15 years, which allows us to provide a stable learning environment for children.

We believe that our partnerships with our families are what set us apart from others. We actively seek family input into decisions made within the centre. We share information about each child’s day in a pictorial curriculum and have great relationships with families to provide verbal feedback on each child. Visual displays that showcase children’s learning are evident throughout the centre.
