Extra time at Kindy makes all the difference

Goodstart centres

It all starts here, with extra time for relationships, fun and learning.

Goodstart’s Kindergarten programs are run within long day environment meaning your child is able to attend beyond the traditional Kinder hours of 9am-3pm.

And with that comes a whole range of benefits both for children and busy family life.

Flexible pick up and drops offs

There’s no need to race to pick them up by 3pm, we offer a Kindergarten program across an entire day.

Which means greater flexibility in hours for parents, and more opportunity for us to tune in to when your child learns best.

Our program also runs across five days which means your child can attend the days and sessions which best suit your family.

More time for play, fun, learning and friendships

The longer day environment means children have more time to build those important relationships and friendships that we know make the difference for a successful transition to school.

It makes for more attuned teaching and learning

We have highly qualified Teachers who take the time to truly get to know your child and really tune in to when and how your child learns best.

We know the best learning happens when children feel comfortable and safe in their environment and connected to their Teachers, educators and each other, which is why we spend the time truly getting to know each child and taking a personal and individual approach to their learning.

Goodstart pedagogy and practice general manager Sue Robb OBE said the longer hours also provided more opportunities for educators to support individual learning.

“Our teachers love the extra hours with the children, as they get to spend more one-on-one time with each child and build stronger relationships, which are critical to nurturing a love of learning.

Ms Robb says we work in partnership with families to identify their child’s strengths and provide additional support and services if your child needs a little extra help.

“We know rich learning happens throughout the day, and each child has their own unique strengths and needs.”

A play-based curriculum that helps them feel truly ready for school

Our program is aligned to the government’s EYLF and focuses on the key curriculum areas that we know build the foundation for a smooth and successful transition to school.

To feel ready for school children, need a solid foundation of skills in areas that we know truly make a difference. That’s why our approved Kindergarten programs focus heavily on social/emotional development, building resilience and strong language and literacy outcomes.
