Goodstart Morningside Wynnum Road

Families and children at Goodstart’s Morningside Wynnum Road Child Care Centre love our fun and educational activities, the openness of our centre and our caring, friendly educators. We’re located in the heart of Morningside on Wynnum Road, with a bus stop right outside and the train a 10-minute walk away.

Our centre was constructed as a purpose-built child care centre in 2005 and features large rooms catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years – from the nursery to kindergarten. We also have an on-site kitchen which provides children with nutritionally balanced meals and snacks each day, saving families the hassle of preparing lunches. 

Here at Goodstart Morningside Wynnum Road we have professional and caring educators, many who have been with our centre for several years. Every person on the team is passionate about high-quality early learning. All of our group leaders have obtained a Diploma in Children's Services or are studying to achieve this. The teachers and assistants pride themselves on providing a high quality, fun and educational learning experience for the children in their care. Our educators are especially talented and enjoy sharing their skills with the children such as cooking, music and sport. Many educators speak second languages including 
Spanish, Gujarati, Greek, Mandarin, Phillipine dialects of Visayan, Tagalo and Ilonggo, Hindi and also signed English and Makaton. We love to share songs and words from other languages with the children.

Our child care centre has an open door policy in which we encourage families to be actively involved in our programs. We welcome parents to help in their child’s room as volunteers. We also enjoy coming together with our families to celebrate special events such as Grandparent's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Graduation, parent evenings and our centre Christmas party. Families love reading the “Our Day” write-up, which explains what the children have done during their day and how it links to the learning program. We love communicating with families and believe that the best early learning happens when parents and educators partner together.
