Goodstart Nambour Doolan Street

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Nambour - Doolan Street is located in a residential area close to the hospital as well as local schools and shops, making our centre a convenient option for parents working at the hospital or commuting. With a large number of families working at the hospital, our centre aims to be as flexible as possible with hours of care to support shift work needs.

Our goal is to ensure that all children enjoy their time here and grow into happy and confident little people.

We have five rooms and offer early learning and care for children from six weeks to school age. We also offer before and after school care, vacation care, and we have our own bus.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten  – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
 
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, vege patches, a fort, mud kitchen, bark pits, bike paths, a worm farm and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

Families tell us our centre is special because of our educators who create a warm, caring and stimulating atmosphere for the children. Many of these educators have been with us for an average of 4 to 6 years and a number have been with the centre for over 10 years. They create a high quality educational environment for our children, with a daily emergent program of hands-on learning through art and craft, language, music and physical movement.

At Goodstart Nambour Doolan Street, we are involved with our local community and have great relationships with the local schools, which makes the transition from kindy to prep a smooth one for our children. 

Our centre has a great reputation for providing a dynamic and caring atmosphere and we also offer extra-curricular activities such as visits from the fire brigade, animal farms, sea animals, and Aboriginal and African cultural performances.
