Goodstart Mildura Matthew Flinders Drive

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care centre Mildura Matthew - Flinder's Drive is located in close proximity to Mildura Central shopping centre, local primary schools as well as TAFE and La Trobe University. Our centre is easily accessible via public transport and ample car parking is available to make drop off and pick up stress free.

We have been part of the local community for over 20 years and a part of Goodstart since 2011 and currently have 150 families enrolled in the service. 
 
We provide high quality care and education for children from birth to 5 years, as well as support and inclusion for all families. Our child care centre has a multicultural community that prides itself on supporting people from diverse cultural backgrounds and individuality is celebrated.

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.

We have very well established natural outdoor environments for all children to explore. The centre has a diverse range of programs and curriculums which are specific to each age group, catering for each developmental age and stage. Children thoroughly enjoy the natural outdoor spaces as they are stimulating and generate creative thinking and imaginative exploration.

All meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients – just the thing to keep hungry tummies satisfied.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Activities of the day are placed in each child's Learning Profiles and other experiences are also displayed within or just outside rooms.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity. We also teach yoga and help develop the children's gardening skills, making the most of the skills and interests of our educators.
