Welcome to Goodstart Ocean Reef

Our experienced and nurturing team at Goodstart Ocean Reef have worked together for years and create a rich, stable, and consistent environment, ensuring that every child feels supported and encouraged to thrive.

With an expertly designed play-based learning program, a spacious, shady yard, bright rooms, and a passionate team, Goodstart Ocean Reef is the perfect place for your child to grow with confidence.

Goodstart Early Learning Ocean Reef is conveniently located at the end of Marina Boulevard, just a two-minute walk from Ocean Reef Primary School, shops, transport, and main roads.

At Goodstart Ocean Reef, we have two nursery rooms, which are dedicated to different age groups, a dedicated toddler room, and a Kindy room led by the wonderful Miss Lujain.

We keep in touch with families via the Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights, newsletters and Facebook page; to ensure open and clear communication.
This supports us to tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
We keep families informed with regular updates on their child's progress and we welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote Key Educator relationships between our educators and children.
Our Key Educator Relationships build strong, secure, reciprocal relationship between each child, their family, and our educators.
Your child will have at least one Key Educator who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
With our approved kindergarten program, early childhood teachers and long day care hours, we're a great alternative to school-based kindergartens.
Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

My daughter started going here when she was eight months old and loved every second - it was even hard to bring her home sometimes! At 19 months old her language, social and motor skills are beyond that of expected for her age and it is definitely down to the range of activities and learning provided for her at Goodstart Ocean Reef.

Kacey Honeysett

Centre Director

Kaya families, my name is Kacey Honeysett and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Ocean Reef.

I began my early childhood education and care career in 2010 and started working with Goodstart Early Learning in 2018. I hold a Diploma of Children’s Services and have worked in the early childhood education industry for the last 12 years, where I started as a trainee educator. From there, I obtained my diploma and spent six years as a lead educator. In the last six years, I worked as an educational leader and other management roles.

My passion for children has led me to a career in the early years as I aim to assist every child in their life journey by taking the time to get to know each child’s strengths, needs and wants. I believe doing this helps to create strong bonds between myself and the children. I believe in embracing the uniqueness of every child and providing an inclusive care environment.

By creating an inclusive environment, each child can create a sense of belonging. By achieving this, development is enhanced, and we can help create a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

I have learnt and maintained a strong belief in children learning through play. When children are provided with opportunities within their own interests and in a manner where they are comfortable and safe and without the fear of failing enables the most amazing learning to occur.

As an educator, I respect and welcome all contributions from children, families, and community members to be introduced into our curriculums and play.

I understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming and that is why from the very first enquiry, we make sure that we address all your questions. We walk families through all the forms and administration that need to be done, this includes enrolment forms, childcare subsidy, government caps, centre schedules, our centre menu and more.
