Hi everyone, my name is Lujain and I am the kindergarten teacher at Goodstart Ocean Reef.

I completed a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Curtin University and am currently working towards a Master of Educational Leadership at the University of New South Wales.

I extremely value being a teacher in an early learning setting, as I get to prepare students for school and allow them to start school with a 'virtual school-bag' packed with skills, knowledge, and confidence. Additionally, I believe it is essential in the early years to build children's positive views of numeracy, literacy, and learning to set them up for a positive and successful learning journey during their school years.

My teaching philosophy is based on social constructivism, where students' learning and knowledge is constructed based on their physical and social environment, and our interactions with students, as teachers, shape their learning, perception of learning, and their knowledge.
